Knitting Ministry

       First Monday of each month
   at 2:00 p.m.
     at Mary Belcher's home
     540 Kentwood,  Oxnard

     We are concentrating on making scarves and hats for orphanages.  We have given out over 200 prayer shawls and several dozen caps for preemie babies along with matching blankets plus lap roes for the convalescent homes in our area..

     Please come and join us in this ministry. 
We accept crochet, weaving, knitting and any other talent you have in making things to help other people.

Adult Breakfast Clan

4th Saturday of the month
9:00 a.m. 
Pirates Grub & Grog 
   on Victoria at 5th Street.  

This group is open to all members
and friends of 1st Pres.

    We now number more than 30 attendees each month.  This informal setting offers an opportune time to get to know one another.  The breakfast clan is open to all adults.  All you need to do is come You'll meet new and long time members of First Pres there.  We're looking forward to seeing some new faces!

are regularly scheduled for the fourth Sunday of the month, after worship in the Verbum Dei Room unless otherwise noted in the Sunday bulletin.

with the Parish Nurse.

   If you or someone in your family has a serious health condition, severe allergy, or is taking medications, this bracelet may save your life.  Contact the Parish Nurse to find out how to purchase one.

 

Adult Diabetes
Support Group

Meets regularly at 
St. John's Regional Medical Center
First Thursday of each month,
6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Conference Room #2.

  Meetings are free and open to the public. 
These sessions provide persons with diabetes the opportunity to share information and support
each other in their management of their disease. 
 No registration is necessary.
