A church wedding is a recognition of love and commitment between two individuals celebrated within a service of worship. Your wedding is a very special day.
All weddings at Oxnard First Presbyterian Church must be handled through the Wedding Director. This person will help you plan your wedding. Before your wedding date can be scheduled on the church calendar you must contact the Wedding Director.
Minister
It is expected that weddings in the First Presbyterian Church will be performed by the minister of the church if available. Any exceptions to this procedure must be approved by the minister. You must have a pre-marital counseling session with the minister.Music
The music chosen for your wedding service can be one of the most personal and expressive elements of the whole service. To give it the time and care necessary, early consulting with the organist is recommended - no later than three to four weeks prior to the wedding. The official organist of the church shall be expected to play. If you would like to use another organist you must discuss this plan with the Organist and Wedding Director.For an appointment or more information contact:
